ich kann verstehen, dass Du den Raum unter dem fahrzeug nutzen willst. Aber wofür? Abwassertank und Gastank sind in Ordnung. Für Batterien reicht die Tiefe nicht. Für Campingstühle sind Dir die Längsholme im Weg und alles was Du unter das Fahrzeug baust, ist dem Dreck und Spritzwasser der Reifen ausgesetzt.
Versiegele den Unterboden mit Wachs und kontrolliere ihn regelmäßig. Mehr solltest Du nicht tun.

The space under the corrugated floor. The waste tank is there, I can understand the fresh water being inside for ease of cleaning etc. rather than under the floor. Just seems there's space there that could be utilised, maybe batteries? Or, insulate to improve the warmth inside!?

i'm not sure what space under the "main body floor" you mean, can you explain that a bit more detailed ?

The floor has a wood-styrofoam-wood structure which rest on the original corrugated metal of the base car.

Do you mean the space between the floor and the corrugated metal ?
Or do you mean the space between the metal carrier under the corrugated metal ?

I was looking under the main body floor and there seems to be lots of wasted space not used. Has anyone done anything with this space? Or failing that, what are peoples thoughts on plating this space, and filling with expanding foam as an insulation? After application of copious amounts of underseal of course!

I did also consider converting an LPG tank to a vapour tank and having this under there....
