At least you even got any version on your own language.
Here in Finland there is not any official or any unofficial information of DRL things. I have asked those things with inspectors and they are just saying that they don't know what is right solution with these.

Hallo Janni,

In Germany, there ist no regulation for the distance between DRL lights and front direction-indicator lamp! Look here on page 94 you see the regulations for DRL lights. .. or here . And Germany is allso in the EU

BTW, your regulation is revision 4, newest one is revision 7... There might be some changes :P

In english it's here www.unece.org/trans/main/wp29/wp29regs/r48r6e.pdf

Yes, I know it would take couple more years to find person who can translate this one from english to deutsch :D

HELLO!

I find out what regulations are for a DRL lights!

ECE R87 is for independent light and ECE-R48 is specificating how these should work.

There is mention:
6.19.7.2. If the distance between the front direction-indicator lamp and the daytime running
lamp is equal or less than 40 mm, the electrical connections of the daytime
running lamp on the relevant side of the vehicle may be such that either:
(a) It is switched OFF; or
(b) Its luminous intensity is reduced during the entire period (both ON and OFF
cycle) of activation of a front direction-indicator lamp.

This is defining that on my installation case (and some others too) DRL must be shutdown when direction indication lamp is blinking.

So I must connect wire from direction indicator lamp with a diode to shutdown line and also add a diode to normal shutdown line.

With this connection I'm sure that blinking is easily seen...

Today I made some painting. It didn't go well at all. It looks good if you are far enough :1435:

Also I installed DRL (tagfahrlicht) and found nice place for those.

No more big needs before trip! Just washing and test drives. :drive1:

New register plate is ordered, but not yet received (in finland we can't buy plates like in germany)

Here is couple photos of repaired Hobby, still some paintjob to do.

MOT done today, one parking light didn't work, everything else is OK! Great!

Now hard test drives all two weeks and some night with our boys.

Wilfried, I'll write mail for you!
