Body Repair

Hello all!

Long time without activity here, I've been too busy and something I have to leave.

On summer I made more activity for me...
I crashed our Hobby to the wooden electricity pole which was near road. Speed was about 60 km/h and there is only a one reason for crash, Me. I was driving alone and only damages to Hobby


I had time to choose, straight or turn a bit. I go straight and all problems are on front.

I'll continue story bit later...

Letzten Sommer hatte er einen Unfall. Er fuhr mit 60 kmh im Wald gegen einen Laternenmast. Er hatte keine Wahl mehr, das zu verhindern. Er saß alleine im Mobil. Es ist lediglich der Schaden am Hobby, ihm ist nichts passiert.

Ich antwortete ihm dann, daß es so aussieht, als sei er schneller als 60 gefahren. Was er denn nun mache, verschrotten oder reparieren.

Actually it's technic is already OK, paintjob on some next months. And some parts are missing, right side mirror, etc.
Here isp iture where is all installed (no wheels) and it's running again.



Some list what needed for repair: power steering (engine destroy this one), all what is middle front, right drive saft, new bumper, oil pan, etc

Also I made some service by renewing clutch.

it is fine, that you are okay. It looks very bad on the first picture. But on the second picture, the Hobby looks again like a Ducato - congratulation. I hope, you find the last spareparts for the repair.

Here is one picture when I had all broken parts removed.


This is how it look under battery I changed front beam from another ducato (friend is having spare one for his motorhome). It was much easier than I expected

Biggest surprise for me was my own tools... I didn't have to buy any tools for this, all is bought already (for my rally things).

Hello ALL!

Now repair is on final stage. Finalizing has taken much longer than expected, but I've done some other repairements which are not from crash Rust repairing from front wings, door etc. Also 90 A charger is now installed.

I've found also a original grill, so it is not now tuning version Maybe later when it's time to do things better.

But now we have 3 weeks for a MOT test and test drives. From 26.6. we will start our trip with a ferry to Germany and then going through France, Belgium, Netherland etc.

We are up to 30.6 at home. Then I bring Ulrike to the cure and stay in the Rhine Main area. It would be nice if we can meet somewhere. You can mail me.

MOT done today, one parking light didn't work, everything else is OK! Great!

Now hard test drives all two weeks and some night with our boys.
